Our History
In February 1985, Gary Rush founded MG Rush Systems, Inc.; to provide consulting services in facilitation, productivity measurements, and IT productivity. Within 6 months, Gary added Facilitator training with the introduction of FAST - The FAST Session Leader Workshop class - a structured facilitation technique (a proprietary product created by Gary Rush) after extensive research and experience conducting JAD Workshops. Gary focused on Facilitation and Facilitator training becoming the leader trainer for structured facilitation having implemented his facilitation technique at numerous companies, including some of the largest in the world. Gary provided a FAST Certificate that certified that one had attended and completed The FAST Session Leader Workshop class. Certification: For Professional Facilitator Certification, you need to join and apply to the International Association of Facilitators (IAF). Certification is only meaningful when it assesses competency (not completion) and is conferred by a recognized, independent industry association such as the IAF.
In January 2004, Gary Rush of MG Rush Systems, Inc. (subject to royalties valid from 2004-2009) sold to Morgan Madison & Co. only the rights to, and Morgan Madison & Co. purchased from Gary Rush of MG Rush Systems, Inc. only the rights to, reproduce the FAST and FORM class materials and use them to provide The FAST Session Leader Workshop class.
Gary Rush, trained Terrence Metz (1999 - FAST Session Leader Workshop class alumnus) of Morgan Madison & Co. "how to" teach The FAST Session Leader Workshop class to provide FAST public and private Facilitator training classes as of June 2004; and gave Terrence Metz permission to the use of the name MG Rush Systems & web-domain name mgrush.com - this was separate from the purchase of the rights to reproduce the FAST and FORM class materials and use them to provide The FAST Session Leader Workshop class, and did not constitute a sale or transfer of MG Rush Systems, Inc.
In June 2004, Gary Rush ceased operations of MG Rush Systems, Inc. to pursue his dream of becoming a restaurateur - "MG Rush dba Miracles Restaurant" in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. Gary believes that pursuing dreams keeps us alive and growing. That our dreams provide synergies and lessons in life that we use as we pursue new goals and that it is never a mistake to pursue our dreams - it is a mistake not to.
In June 2004, Terrence Metz of Morgan Madison & Co., formed MG Rush Performance Learning, and began the job of teaching The FAST Session Leader Workshop class to future Facilitators.
In June 2005, after a one year absence, Gary Rush returned to consulting services reinstating (through the Office of the Secretary of State) his corporation - MG Rush Systems, Inc. But, because he had given permission to the use of the name MG Rush Systems, he changed his corporation name to MGR Consulting, Inc. He also amended his Articles of Incorporation changing his corporation name from MG Rush Systems, Inc. to MGR Consulting, Inc.
Once back, Gary focused on facilitation, FAST Workshop, Business Presentation Skills and Leadership Skills. In January 2006, he updated his FAST class materials and began teaching - The FAST Facilitator Workshop class (a proprietary product developed by Gary Rush now MGR Consulting, Inc.).
On April 17, 2007, the name MG Rush Systems was registered by Kevin Booth of Morgan Madison & Co. - not associated with MGR Consulting, Inc., previously known as MG Rush Systems, Inc. In June 2007, Gary created The FoCuSeD™ Facilitator Academy - a revolution from FAST. FoCuSeD™ is the most complete, most comprehensive, and most effective Facilitator class available, providing detailed training on the concepts of Holistic Facilitation - the 1st Holistic Facilitation Technique. FoCuSeD™ defines the seamless integration of process and group dynamics expanding processes to cover any group activity applicable in business and in life. You must proactively plan the emotional group cycle along with the workshop process to build a product - one without the other is fruitless. This is the essence of FoCuSeD™.
